About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to support the disability claims process within our Human Resources team. You will work on-site in Mississauga for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Review, process, and monitor disability claims.
- Manage employee files and prepare letters on behalf of the HR department.
- Communicate directly with our insurance provider.
- Join claim review meetings with the HR Director, HR Manager, and Medical Consultant.
- Coordinate with the HR team on complex claims and WSIB cases.
- Help facilitate employee accommodations and return-to-work plans.
- Draft offer letters for accommodations.
- Assist with various HR projects and learn to use workforce software.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Business, Human Resources, or Disability Management program.
- Strong skills in Excel.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay motivated.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Flexibility to handle complex work tasks.
