About the role#
This internship supports the administration of disability insurance claims within the Human Resources department. You will work under the supervision of a Claim Manager to gain experience in disability management and HR processes. This position is open to current students only.
What you'll do#
- Perform administrative tasks related to disability insurance claims.
- Complete iA Financial Group forms for employees on disability leave.
- Provide payroll coding instructions to the Payroll Department.
- Respond to inquiries from the insurer regarding specific disability cases.
- Maintain and update data in the internal SISST management system.
- Coordinate with Biron nurses, HR Generalists, HR Business Partners, and managers.
- Prepare mortgage insurance and other insurance-related forms for employees.
- Keep accurate, complete, and up-to-date records for all disability files.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized and structured way.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- A positive and approachable attitude.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar HR information systems is an asset.

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Duration: 8 months.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Note: Interns may occasionally be required to travel outside of Canada for work or training.
