About the role#
The Aircraft Performance team provides certified and operational data that defines the capabilities of our aircraft. We contribute to the development of new and derivative aircraft, support the airworthiness of in-service models, and interact with regulatory authorities to ensure safety and compliance. This is a 16-month internship based in Mississauga.
What you'll do#
- Generate aircraft performance data for Flight Manuals, including QRH, FCOM, and AFM.
- Develop and validate performance software tools.
- Create aircraft performance data for Flight Management Systems.
- Analyze data from flight tests or test rigs.
- Conduct analyses to support Sales and Marketing campaigns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of B+.
- Familiarity with aircraft performance concepts like takeoff, landing, and mission performance.
- Programming skills in C#, C++, Fortran, Python, or Matlab.
- Working knowledge of the UNIX operating system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Location & details#
- Location: Mississauga, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2027 start (16-month duration).
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Compensation: Paid internship with a base salary ranging from CAD $17.95 to CAD $31.00 per hour.
- Requirements: This position is open to students only. Occasional travel outside of Canada may be required.
