About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will support municipal infrastructure projects by working alongside engineers, project managers, and construction professionals. This role focuses on Water, Wastewater, and Municipal engineering. You will gain experience in both office-based design and field-based construction activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, construction staking, and construction administration duties.
- Complete design calculations, write specifications, and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering degree program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
- A valid driver license and your own transportation.
