About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern with our Municipal service group, you will work alongside engineers, project managers, and construction professionals. This role provides hands-on experience with municipal infrastructure projects during the Summer 2027 season. You will spend a significant portion of your time in the field supporting construction phase activities for transportation projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program or a closely related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with 3.2 or above preferred.
- Sophomore status or higher.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- Physical ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
