About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term in Frisco, Texas. This internship provides exposure to the daily operations of a civil engineering and site design firm. You will gain insight into the full land development process, from initial concepts to construction. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers on commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
What you'll do#
- Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process.
- Enhance technical skills using AutoCAD Civil 3D for plans including grading, stormwater management, utility systems, and soil erosion control.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process in action.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided if you are not yet proficient.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn.
