About the role#
The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) internship program at Boeing offers students the opportunity to contribute to sustainable, safe, and healthy solutions across the company. Interns work directly with mentors to solve real-world problems, participate in facility tours, interact with company leaders to discuss strategy, and build a professional network. This program is designed to help interns gain the skills necessary to become future leaders in the aerospace industry.
What you'll do#
Interns will be assigned to specific EHS disciplines, including:
- Ergonomics: Identify and resolve ergonomic risks in factories and offices by evaluating work processes and implementing new tools or technology.
- Industrial Hygiene: Evaluate and reduce workplace exposures to chemical and physical hazards through hands-on sampling and data analysis.
- Workplace Safety: Assess health and safety risks and maintain regulatory compliance alongside engineering and EHS teams.
- Environmental Specialist: Support airplane programs or defense operations by working on air quality, waste management, spill prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to work full-time for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Previous internship or work experience.
- A demonstrated passion for the aerospace industry.
- Status as a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (US citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Preferred majors include Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Data Science, or Sociology.
