About the role#
This position offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the machinery manufacturing industry. You will work as a full-time team member during the Winter 2027 term, applying your academic knowledge to real-world projects alongside skilled professionals at Bobcat Company.
What you'll do#
- Identify and evaluate strategic suppliers.
- Execute continuous improvement projects and training using Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Prioritize tasks and identify resource needs for project execution and issue resolution.
- Monitor supply chain KPIs to align with strategic business needs.
- Influence new product designs and supply chain processes to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Mitigate risks related to supplier product or process change requests.
- Identify and evaluate supply chain techniques and technologies.
- Perform audits of supply base quality systems, processes, capability, and capacity.
What you'll need#
- Current standing as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team or independently.
