This is a full-time, paid summer position providing general maintenance and repair services for university residence halls. The role runs from May 2026 through August 2026, with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Replace light bulbs and fixtures.
- Unplug drains and commodes.
- Perform repairs on drawers, doors, walls, and windows.
- Fix blinds and replace ceiling tiles.
- Replace HVAC filters.
- Assist with additional maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University or Bob Jones Academy.
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 100 lbs. and push or pull up to 25 lbs.
