HVAC Assistant (Student)

About the role#

This position serves as a helper within the Heating and Air Conditioning Department at Bob Jones University. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for the Fall 2025 term.

What you'll do#

• Change HVAC filters.
• Replace non-operating air conditioners.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors and blowers.
• Navigate various work environments, including climbing extension ladders, entering tunnels, accessing crawl spaces, and working on roofs.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. on an occasional basis.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student at Bob Jones University, Academy, or AHE.
• A mechanical mindset with experience using hand and electric tools.
• Availability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Majors in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
