About the role#
This Quantitative Analyst co-op position offers the opportunity to work within our data and analytics teams. You will use advanced analytical algorithms, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, to process large sets of structured and unstructured data. This role involves designing modeling processes, developing predictive systems, and conducting large-scale analysis to uncover trends that inform business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Develop and refine machine learning algorithms and predictive models to improve customer experience and productivity.
- Collaborate with product teams and data professionals to scale analysis into mature, production-ready solutions.
- Mine data from various sources to assess the feasibility of AI and ML solutions.
- Create data visualizations and interactive dashboards to communicate insights to business leaders.
- Provide recommendations based on analysis to support business planning and future roadmaps.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to ensure all decisions align with bank policies, laws, and regulations.
- Investigate new technologies and tools to solve complex business problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree or PhD in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling, quantitative analysis, and computational methods.
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages used for data science.
- Experience developing and leveraging APIs to automate data workflows.
- Knowledge of financial engineering, quantitative risk analysis, or Bayesian statistics.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms or data engineering tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and data-driven decision making.
