About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will join our Data Solutions, Business Analytics, and Data Governance teams to solve real-world problems. This role offers hands-on experience with cloud technology, data management, and health informatics. You will work in a collaborative environment where you can learn Agile practices.
What you'll do#
- Perform advanced data analytics using cloud technology.
- Explore datasets and build visualizations to provide actionable insights for business leaders.
- Deliver health data analytics and informatics for providers, members, and internal leadership.
- Solve data puzzles and communicate findings through consistent data storytelling.
- Learn about Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management.
- Collaborate across all business lines to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with Python, Databricks, and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Interest in AI/ML concepts, including supervised learning, ethical AI, and model interpretability.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow within the data field.
- Intellectual curiosity and a positive, collaborative attitude.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The position follows a hybrid work schedule with time spent on-site at our Aksarben Village office.
- You must be able to commute to the office for the duration of the internship, which runs from Wednesday, May 26, 2027, through Friday, July 30, 2027.
