About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams while developing the skills necessary to transition into a Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and workflow procedures at all workstations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing compassionate care.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify orders when necessary.
- Coach, train, and mentor pharmacy team members.
- Complete inventory tasks such as cycle counts and returns.
- Deliver health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
- Prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Ability to become immunization certified is preferred.
- Flexibility to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market is preferred.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $42.00 per hour.
