About the role#
Blue Canyon Technologies is hiring a Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, 11-week position based in Lafayette, Colorado. You will work on internal research tasks and contribute to small satellite mission development.
What you'll do#
- Manage specific Internal Research and Development (IRAD) tasks to advance GN&C technologies.
- Develop simulations and analyze subsystem functions, including attitude dynamics, control algorithms, and sensor or actuator performance.
- Create and maintain system requirements and verification techniques.
- Contribute to the development and execution of GN&C test plans for new hardware.
- Participate in hands-on activities such as hardware testing, mission operations, and spacecraft launches.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program or higher in Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Software, or Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Demonstrated leadership experience gained through school or extracurricular projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Effective communication skills and a desire to collaborate with peers and internal customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Location: Lafayette, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 25, 2027, to August 6, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid internship position.
