About the role#
Blue Bird Corporation is seeking an Intern for Software Controls for the Summer 2026 program. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience through meaningful functional work and a special project. Participants will engage with leadership and gain exposure to the manufacturing industry. Successful performance during the program may lead to opportunities in the company's early career rotational pathway.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks that support specific department goals.
- Support process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Participate in a core functional assignment alongside a dedicated special project.
- Communicate progress, risks, and project outcomes to peers and leadership.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and safe work practices in all environments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or Communications.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start of the internship.
- Ability to work full-time hours for the duration of the summer term.
