About the role#
Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a motor vehicle manufacturing environment. Successful interns may be considered for the company's early career rotational pathway, the Future Drivers Leadership Program.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned work that supports department goals.
- Support process improvement, problem-solving, and operational efficiency through data analysis and collaboration.
- Participate in a core functional assignment and a special project that delivers measurable value to the business.
- Communicate progress and project outcomes to peers, mentors, and leadership.
- Present final project results to the leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or Communications.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the start of the internship.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer term.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
