About the role#
Blue Bird Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the motor vehicle manufacturing industry. Interns will engage in meaningful functional work and a special project, culminating in a final presentation to the leadership team. Performance during the program may be considered for future early career opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks that support departmental goals.
- Use data and observation to support process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Execute a core functional assignment alongside a special project.
- Communicate progress, risks, and project outcomes to peers and leadership.
- Present key learnings and project results to the leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 18 years of age by the start of the internship.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to gather and analyze data.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills.

- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
