About the role#
Blue Bird Corporation is seeking an intern for the Body Design department for the Summer 2026 term. This program is designed to provide meaningful functional work and exposure to real-world manufacturing and business operations. Interns will engage in a core functional assignment and a special project, culminating in a presentation of outcomes to the leadership team.

- Support process improvement, problem-solving, and operational efficiency through data and observation.
- Participate in a core functional assignment and a special project that delivers measurable value to the business.
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to peers, mentors, and leaders.
- Showcase learnings obtained during the internship program through project presentations.
What you'll need#
- Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Operations Management, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the start of the assignment.
- Ability to gather information, use data, and think critically to support recommendations.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively across teams.
