About the role#
As a Project Controls Intern, you will work on-site at a field project location. This full-time internship takes place during the summer of 2027. You will support our project teams by handling data, schedules, and costs related to infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with cost, schedule, earned value, and quantity reporting.
- Maintain high data integrity across project documentation.
- Perform routine tasks in planning, scheduling, cost analysis, or contract administration.
- Support project forecasting efforts.
- Update commodity curves, daily production trackers, and equipment logs.
- Help track earned value and verify quantities installed on-site.
- Facilitate meetings and participate in site safety walks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited university program for Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and oral communication abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Power BI, and Primavera.
- A self-starting attitude with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a field construction environment, which may include exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and varying lighting conditions.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time position located in Kansas.
- You must be willing to relocate for the duration of the summer 2027 program.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- This is a paid internship. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
