About the role#
This is a 12-week summer internship based on-site at our Kansas City location. You will gain hands-on experience in construction management through a structured program that includes field exposure, mentor coaching, and practical project support.
What you'll do#
- Complete HR onboarding and site safety orientation.
- Learn how to apply our safety culture and project-specific quality standards.
- Study the project lifecycle, documentation processes, and core construction management responsibilities.
- Shadow construction managers, project managers, and site leaders during daily operations, planning discussions, and meetings.
- Work on a defined site-based project or process improvement task.
- Complete online training modules for safety awareness and professional development.
- Attend regular meetings with mentors to receive feedback on your progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional approach and the ability to be reliable.
- Willingness to travel as needed for site assignments.
