    About the role#

    This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Planning and Development Services department. You will receive training and mentorship from experienced staff while assisting with daily operations and special projects. The role involves a mix of administrative tasks, research, and departmental coordination.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide administrative and clerical support for daily operations.
    • Communicate with staff, clients, and other contacts to support efficient workflows.
    • Conduct basic research and prepare summaries, reports, or recommendations.
    • Assist with entry-level tasks and contribute to the planning and execution of special projects.
    • Act as a liaison and collaborate with other departments.
    • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive documents and discussions.

    What you'll need#

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Current enrollment in an accredited college, university, or technical school.
    • Ability to submit class schedules or transcripts to verify enrollment.
    • Valid New Mexico driver’s license by the date of hire.
    • Completion of a post-offer medical examination and background investigation.
    • Ability to complete all assigned FEMA training.
