About the role#
This fellowship provides hands-on experience in strategic communications, public affairs, media engagement, and brand storytelling. As a fellow, you will be embedded within the Public Affairs, Impact & Urbanism practice area. You will contribute to active client work and business initiatives while learning how integrated communications strategies are developed and executed. This is a paid, full-time position running from January 13, 2027, to July 2, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research and monitor industry, market, and media trends.
- Draft content, reports, presentations, and communications materials.
- Support client and internal projects from planning through execution.
- Participate in meetings, brainstorming sessions, client calls, and events.
- Collaborate across teams on integrated initiatives.
- Gain exposure to strategic communications, public affairs, and agency operations.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree or graduation before the start date.
- Prior internship or relevant work experience in the public affairs or urbanism practice area.
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Digital fluency and an eagerness to learn new platforms.
- A strong interest in communications, marketing, public affairs, or business.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY, or Washington, DC.
- Fellows are expected to be in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Compensation is $24 per hour.
