About the role#
Benchmark Space Systems is seeking a Test Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside engineers and chemists to test technologies for in-space propulsion products used in small satellites. This role offers exposure to industry best practices, propulsion engineering, and propellant chemistry.
What you'll do#
- Create, modify, and review test plans, procedures, test fixtures, and test stand designs.
- Manage assembly and testing schedules.
- Document test results and author reports, including nonconformance reports.
- Identify and communicate improvements for test processes and workflows.
- Balance multiple projects while providing regular status updates on assignments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to qualify as a U.S. Person under U.S. export control laws.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and function in a cross-functional environment.

- This position is based on-site in Burlington, Vermont.
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
