General Administrative Intern

About the role#

The General Administrative Intern provides support to the treatment center in Mobile, Alabama. This position offers hands-on experience in a professional healthcare environment, focusing on daily office operations and administrative functions under the direction of the Program Director.

What you'll do#

• Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks, including filing, scanning, copying, and organizing documents.
• Answer and direct phone calls and greet visitors to assist with basic inquiries.
• Maintain office supplies and assist with inventory tracking.
• Enter and update information in databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems.
• Support scheduling, meeting preparation, and the creation of reports, forms, and correspondence.
• Perform data entry and quality checks while assisting various departments with special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client, employee, and organizational information.

What you'll need#

• High school diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in a college, university, or vocational program is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, move throughout the facility, and occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
