About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the Beck's Research Department. You will participate in various stages of corn and soybean research, including performance testing, breeding, and product development. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare seed for the upcoming planting season, which involves travel to specific locations.
- Travel with staff to outlying sites to assist with planting test plots.
- Collect early and mid-season agronomic data.
- Assist with pollinating corn in the breeding nursery.
- Support work in molecular marker or transformation laboratories.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- A Part 107 certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet objectives.
- A positive attitude.
- Agriculture experience is preferred.

- Requirements: This role requires overnight travel and overtime. Offers are contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
