About the role#
We are looking for a Tax Intern to join our team in Phoenix. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling start date. You will work under the supervision of a CPA and an assigned buddy to prepare tax returns and assist our senior accounting staff.
What you'll do#
- Complete basic-level corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Research and analyze tax issues for our clients.
- Apply the rules, requirements, and code of conduct of the AICPA.
- Follow authoritative literature established by the FASB and GASB.
- Build your knowledge of tax and accounting research techniques.
- Assist senior accounting staff with various tax and accounting duties.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an undergraduate or graduate student in accounting.
- You maintain good academic standing.
- You have a clear desire to earn your CPA license.
- You can learn complex tax software systems.
- You possess strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
