About the role#
The Tax Intern, Core Tax Services will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in tax practices. This role focuses on supporting client service teams through tax compliance, research, and documentation.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions using firm tax software.
- Organize files and documentation to ensure compliance with firm policies and the Tax Quality Manual.
- Assist with quarterly estimates, tax projections, and responses to Internal Revenue Service notices.
- Utilize online research tools to monitor tax law developments and client factual changes.
- Develop and communicate perspectives to the client service team regarding how tax law developments may affect clients.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions, including FAS 109 and FIN 48.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting or a related field (Master's degree pursuit preferred).
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
