About the role#
This is a paid internship within the Core Tax Services department. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience with tax compliance and consulting practices. This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Memphis, Tennessee, scheduled for the Winter 2028 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns for review.
- Perform quarterly estimates.
- Assist with responses to Internal Revenue Service notices.
- Help project year-end filings.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
- Research tax information using online tools.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required for CPA licensure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
