About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work with experienced professionals to support our clients. You will use your accounting knowledge to help prepare returns and manage tax compliance. This role offers a hands-on look at firm practices and provides an opportunity to build professional relationships while you gain experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns and organize files to help the review process.
- Collect data for filing requirements and track impending due dates.
- Assist with quarterly estimates, year-end filing projections, and responses to IRS notices.
- Apply firm policies regarding ASC 740, FAS 109, and FIN 48.
- Help develop methods to maximize client benefits by researching tax law and monitoring developments.
- Communicate relevant updates to client service teams.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a related field.
- Active pursuit of school credits necessary to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions effectively.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Preference is given to those pursuing a Masters degree and those with prior leadership experience.

- The role is full-time for the Summer 2028 term.
- This is an on-site position.
