About the role#
As an intern in our Technology Risk Assurance practice, you will work alongside experienced team members to solve problems and gather facts. This role provides hands-on experience with our firm practices and helps you build professional relationships. You will receive coaching and direction as you contribute to our client work.
What you'll do#
- Document and test application and automated controls across various software packages.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and recommendations for IS audit work.
- Participate in reviewing internal controls based on Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
- Perform walkthroughs of client controls and document test results.
- Prepare workpapers in the required format.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel and management.
- Conduct client interviews to gather information for non-complex clients.
- Apply IS audit principles to non-complex client environments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Prior internship or work study experience in information systems and operational auditing is preferred.
- A masters degree in Information Systems or a related advanced degree is preferred.
- Past leadership experience is preferred.
- Exposure to industry ERP applications is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and travel as necessary.
