BBYO is seeking a Communications Intern to join the Marketing & Communications team for the Fall 2026 semester. This role provides hands-on experience in content creation, digital platform management, and campaign support. You will contribute to brand development while working with creative teams to engage target audiences.
What you'll do#
- Manage communications through their full lifecycle, including segmentation, approval, deployment, and reporting.
- Write and edit content for digital platforms, such as emails, letters, and social media posts, to support membership recruitment and movement initiatives.
- Support communications projects for the BBYO International Convention, including scheduling interviews, press coordination, and assisting with livestream and podcast production.
- Learn to use digital marketing tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Airtable, Wordpress, and Textmagic.
- Analyze metrics and marketing campaign performance to evaluate return on investment.
- Maintain the photography archive and curate images for marketing materials.
- Provide general support for marketing team staff and handle special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on writing and editing.
- High attention to detail and a responsible approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and apply best practices in digital marketing.
- Familiarity with BBYO is preferred but not required.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Term: Mid-August through December 2026.
- Commitment: 15-19 hours per week.
- Modality: Remote or based in Washington, DC.
- Compensation: $15 per hour or state minimum wage.
