BBYO Genesis Fellowship, South Jersey

About the role#

The BBYO Genesis Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide professional growth through department rotations, one-on-one mentorship, and cohort-based coaching. Fellows gain experience in data analysis, leadership development, and professional networking while contributing to the success of the South Jersey region.

What you'll do#

• Work directly with teens in grades 8-12 to create impactful, engaging programs.
• Mentor teen leaders and deliver leadership training throughout the year.
• Guide teens in establishing an annual calendar for each chapter to drive recruitment and engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, parents, and alumni.
• Facilitate the planning process for citywide and regional events, including overnight conventions.
• Staff a summer leadership program for 2-3 weeks.
• Assist with regional communication, including newsletters and social media.
• Track regional data related to membership, prospects, and program logistics.

What you'll need#

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 0-3 years of work or volunteer experience.
• Experience working with youth or teens in a camp or organizational environment.
• General knowledge of the Jewish culture and calendar.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel as needed for regional conventions and staff conferences.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Location & details#

• Location: Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $50,000 - $52,000.
• Program Term: Rolling start through June 30, 2028.
