About the role#
The Service Coordinator Intern supports the Service Department with daily administrative tasks and coordination. You will gain hands-on experience in service operations, customer support, and scheduling processes within an industrial environment. You will work under the guidance of the Service Coordinator and Service Managers to organize service requests and manage workflow.
What you'll do#
- Review incoming service requests and gather information for quotes or follow-up.
- Enter and update service orders in company systems with attention to detail.
- Coordinate with Service Managers to schedule service technicians and confirm customer details.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, service orders, and completed work in FreeForm.
- Review weekly service reports and assist with follow-up on overdue items.
- Help organize service documents, work orders, and project files.
- Monitor status updates for service orders and provide information on expected completion timelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks with guidance and support.
- Strong attention to detail when preparing documents or entering information.
- Willingness to learn new processes and ask questions.
