About the role#
BBP is hiring an Automation Technician Intern to support automation and logistics functions within our Operations Department. This role provides hands-on experience in control panel assembly, inventory management, and warehouse operations. You will work with experienced team members to build technical skills in industrial automation and supply chain processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with wiring and assembly of industrial control panels.
- Support panel testing using multimeters and basic testing equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
- Track inventory, perform cycle counts, and conduct audits.
- Package and prepare products for shipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and learn basic PLC concepts.
- Generate shipping documents, labels, and packing slips.
- Maintain organized workstations and storage areas.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate with a high school diploma or GED.
- Interest in automation, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read measurements and follow written instructions.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
- Preferred majors include Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship located in Pelham, Alabama.
