About the role#
We are looking for a Research Analyst and Trader Assistant to join our team in Houston. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date. You will work on-site, supporting our analytics department by tracking global supply flows and monitoring oil market movements.
What you'll do#
- Monitor ship movements and global supply flows.
- Collate and share information across the organization.
- Perform fundamental analysis on gasoline and diesel markets.
- Work directly with our traders and analytics team to refine supply and demand models.
- Present your findings and reports to the trading desk.
- Assist with physical arbitrage tasks.
What you'll need#
- A university degree or current enrollment in Finance, Economics, Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and mathematical skills.
- Experience with coding, Python, or AI, or the capability to learn these tools quickly.
- Fluency in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.
- Previous experience in physical or derivatives oil markets is preferred.
