    About the role#

    The World Cup Cafe is seeking student staff to support cafe operations through customer service and facility maintenance. This role involves working with external community service partners and requires reliable transportation as it is an off-campus position. Candidates must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.

    What you'll do#

    • Wait and bus tables while serving food to customers.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and food safety standards of the facility.
    • Operate the coffee station and prepare a variety of coffee drinks.
    • Collaborate with the team to provide quality service to the public.

    What you'll need#

    • Customer service and point of sale experience.
    • Basic computer and strong communication skills.
    • Ability to obtain a food handlers certificate.
    • A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
    • Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Waco, Texas.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Schedule: 10-20 hours per week. Cafe hours are Tuesday through Friday (7:00 am - 2:00 pm), Saturday (8:00 am - 2:00 pm), and Sunday (9:00 am - 3:00 pm).
    • Compensation: $11.00 - $12.50 per hour.
