Student Worker - Champions Redefined

About the role#

The Student Worker for Champions Redefined serves as a mentor during the retreat, assisting with day-to-day execution. This role involves leading small groups, refereeing labs, and facilitating group activities to support the Student Athlete Center for Excellence.

What you'll do#

• Assist with tasks in support of client-facing events and guest experiences.
• Coordinate logistics and activities for the execution of events and hospitality services.
• Provide customer service to internal and external partners, including answering inquiries and resolving issues.
• Participate in planning meetings and conduct presentations to provide project updates.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on branding, advertising, and event promotion.
• Create feedback surveys and recommend improvements for future services.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a major such as Public Health, Psychology, or Communications.
• Experience in event planning or hospitality services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to coordinate logistics and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to complying with University policies and maintaining punctual attendance.

Location & details#

• Location: Simpson Athletics and Academic Center, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026 (1 week during May minimester).
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Compensation: Paid position at $10/hr.
