This position supports the Waco Habitat for Humanity ReStore through direct customer service and warehouse maintenance. As a student worker, you will assist with daily operations, including managing inventory and facilitating the donation process.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service by assisting with item selection, measuring materials, and loading or unloading purchases and donations.
- Organize and maintain store inventory to ensure an orderly shopping environment.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with staff on merchandise pricing.
- Assist the donation coordinator and handle incoming phone inquiries.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, squat, bend, and climb in and out of trucks.
- Comfortable working in an unconditioned warehouse environment.
- Strong verbal and human relations skills.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or Communications.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Waco Habitat for Humanity.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Terms: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
