WHFH Event Planner Intern - BC

About the role#

This internship supports the planning and execution of events and fundraisers for Waco Habitat for Humanity. Working under the Director of Development, you will assist with event coordination, logistics, and promotional efforts. This is an off-campus, paid student worker position requiring 20 hours of work per week between Monday and Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

What you'll do#

• Assist with the planning and execution of events and fundraisers.
• Manage auction items for specific events.
• Strategically market events and assist with promotional campaigns.
• Coordinate event details including decor selection and buffet food service logistics.
• Manage guest communications and support event day operations.
• Assist the Director of Development with overall event planning.

What you'll need#

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Constant Contact.
• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Reliable transportation, as this is an off-campus position.
• Preference given to candidates who are bilingual.
• Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Health, or Sociology.
