About the role#
This is a part-time student position within the Student Activities department at Baylor University. The role focuses on supporting the marketing and communications efforts for Waco Hall, specifically through the advancement of social media platforms.
What you'll do#
- Manage and advance Waco Hall social media accounts by producing and sharing photos, videos, and other marketing content.
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage and imagery to document events and tell the story of Waco Hall.
- Develop and execute social media plans in advance through organized planning.
- Provide general marketing and communications support for assigned projects and activities.
- Collaborate with the team while also taking initiative to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with university policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
- Creativity to generate and execute new engagement ideas in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills to manage social media planning.
- Effective communication skills to tell stories through digital channels.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of social media engagement strategies and basic videography and editing is preferred.
