Tennis Stringer

About the role#

Baylor Tennis is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student worker to assist with racquet stringing operations for the men’s and women’s tennis programs. This position supports team practices, matches, and tournaments within a collegiate athletic environment.

What you'll do#

• String and re-string tennis racquets to meet team requirements.
• Maintain consistency and accuracy regarding requested tensions and string setups.
• Operate and maintain Baiardo Wilson stringing machines.
• Manage inventory and organization of strings, grips, and accessories.
• Communicate with coaches and players to coordinate racquet needs and turnaround times.
• Keep the stringing area clean and organized to ensure efficient operations.

What you'll need#

• Previous racquet stringing experience is required.
• Knowledge and experience using Baiardo Wilson stringing machines is preferred.
• Understanding of different string types, tensions, and player preferences.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Dependability, organization, and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during competition periods.

• Location: Hurd Tennis Center, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: 20 hours per week.
• Compensation: Paid position at $12.00 per hour.
