Student Worker - Well-Being Ambassador

About the role#

Well-Being Ambassadors serve as representatives for the Department of Student Care and Well-Being at Baylor University. This role focuses on educating peers on topics such as physical and emotional well-being, goal setting, stress reduction, and time management. Please note that ambassadors do not provide medical advice.

What you'll do#

• Complete a comprehensive well-being training program provided by the department.
• Act as a liaison between the Department of Student Care and Well-Being and the campus community.
• Host weekly drop-in sessions for students.
• Meet one-on-one with students to provide support.
• Direct students to relevant campus and community resources as needed.
• Attend monthly meetings with fellow ambassadors and staff.
• Assist with various health and recreation tasks and maintain safety standards.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Commitment to a minimum of two semesters.
• Dedication to improving personal and campus-wide well-being.
• No history of a severe disciplinary record.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and follow university policies.
• Preferred majors include Psychology, Public Health, or Health Administration.

• Location: Waco, Texas (McLane Student Life Center, Suite 207).
• Term: Fall 2027.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: Paid position.
• Schedule: 5 hours per week.
