Student Worker - Well-Being Ambassador

About the role#

Well-Being Ambassadors are Baylor students dedicated to educating their peers on health and well-being. This role focuses on promoting a culture centered on physical and emotional health, goal setting, stress reduction, and time management. Please note that ambassadors do not provide medical advice.

What you'll do#

• Complete a well-being training program provided by the Department of Student Care and Well-Being.
• Serve as a liaison between the Department of Student Care and Well-Being and the campus community regarding health topics.
• Host weekly drop-in sessions and meet one-on-one with students.
• Connect students to relevant campus and community resources as needed.
• Attend monthly meetings with fellow ambassadors and staff.
• Assist in assigned areas of responsibility and support health and recreation activities.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at Baylor University.
• A minimum GPA of 2.5.
• A commitment to the role for at least two semesters.
• A strong dedication to improving personal and campus-wide well-being.
• No history of severe disciplinary records.
• Ability to adhere to university policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Majors in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or Human Resources are encouraged to apply.

Location & details#

• Location: McLane Student Life Center (SLC), Suite 207, Waco, Texas.
• Term: Fall 2027.
• Commitment: 5 hours per week.
• Status: Paid, on-site student worker position.
