Student Worker - Waco Hall Marketing Specialist - BC

About the role#

The Waco Hall Marketing Specialist will support the Student Activities department by managing and advancing the social media presence of Waco Hall. This role involves capturing behind-the-scenes content and executing creative marketing strategies to share the story of the venue and its events.

What you'll do#

• Create and manage content for Waco Hall social media accounts using photography, video, and other marketing tools.
• Develop and execute a social media plan in advance to ensure consistent engagement.
• Capture behind-the-scenes footage and photos during events.
• Collaborate on marketing and communications projects and support broader departmental strategies.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to pursue new engagement ideas.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student, with a preference for majors in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design.
• Knowledge of social media engagement strategies and basic videography and editing skills.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage content schedules.
• Creative mindset with the ability to execute ideas in a timely manner.
• Effective communication skills to tell compelling stories through digital platforms.
• Ability to work independently and maintain punctual, regular attendance while complying with university policies.

Location & details#

• Location: Waco Hall, Waco, Texas.
• Schedule: 10 hours per week.
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Compensation: $8.50 per hour.
