About the role#
Baylor University is seeking a Student Media Graphic Designer for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position supports the Department of Student Media, including the Baylor Lariat, Roundup Yearbook, and Focus Magazine. You will create a variety of print and digital materials, such as advertisements, fliers, posters, media kits, and brochures, while adhering to project deadlines and approval processes.
What you'll do#
- Produce graphic materials for student media organizations.
- Provide marketing and communications support for assigned areas.
- Assist with various projects, activities, and tasks related to marketing and communications.
- Support and execute marketing and communications strategies.
- Work both independently and collaboratively while taking initiative on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, preferably in Graphic Design.
- A portfolio or design samples to present during the interview process.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to comply with university policies and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Location & details#
- Location: Castellaw Communications Center, Room 226, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 14 hours per week.
- Compensation: $9 per hour plus a $1,000 scholarship per semester.
