Student Worker - School of Music Production Assistant

About the role#

The School of Music Operations team at Baylor University is seeking student workers to support the daily functions and event production of the department. This role involves working independently or as part of a team to ensure the success of performances and business operations within the School of Music facilities. This is a paid, on-site position with flexible hours based on the event calendar.

What you'll do#

• Setup, operate, and breakdown stage and audiovisual equipment for productions and events in performance halls.
• Assist with audio recording production for recitals.
• Greet guests, manage seating, provide information, and support the overall audience experience.
• Perform business operations duties and assist with various projects and tasks related to departmental goals.
• Adhere to dress code requirements, including professional all-black attire for major events and closed-toe shoes for stage setup.

What you'll need#

• Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
• Commitment to maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to comply with all University policies.
• Strong customer service skills when interacting with guests.
• Prior experience with audio mixers, video equipment, and stage gear is a plus, though on-the-job training is provided.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, bending, and lifting.
