About the role#

The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the North Russell Residence Hall community. This role serves as a key resource for residents, visitors, and staff, contributing to the safety and security of the residence hall while ensuring smooth daily operations within Campus Living & Learning.

What you'll do#

• Monitor door security and verify resident identity.
• Provide administrative assistance to residents and staff.
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance issues, equipment usage, lost and found items, and gift registries.
• Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and provide information regarding on-campus resources.
• Support residents in communicating concerns to residence hall staff.
• Uphold and enforce University and department policies.

What you'll need#

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population.
• Proficiency in typing and general administrative tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Sound judgment when responding to needs or potential crises.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow University policies.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology.

• Location: North Russell Residence Hall, Waco, Texas.
• Terms: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
