Student Worker - Office Assistant - North Russell Residence Hall - BC

About the role#

The Office Assistant provides administrative support to the North Russell Residence Hall community. This role serves as a primary resource for residents, visitors, and staff, contributing to the daily operations and safety of the residence hall.

What you'll do#

• Monitor door security and verify resident identity according to visitation policies.
• Provide administrative assistance to residents, including answering inquiries and greeting visitors.
• Maintain accurate records for maintenance requests, equipment usage, lost and found items, and gift registries.
• Communicate resident concerns to appropriate residence hall support staff.
• Enforce Campus Living & Learning policies and maintain confidentiality of files and reports.
• Assist with various projects and general office tasks as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Proficiency in typing and general administrative tasks.
• Ability to provide customer service to a diverse population.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Sound judgement to respond effectively to resident needs or crises.
• Ability to comply with all university policies and maintain punctual attendance.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Psychology, or Communications.

• Compensation: $8.00 per hour.
