The Office Assistant provides administrative support to on-campus communities within the Campus Living & Learning department. This role serves as a resource for residents, parents, visitors, and staff, while contributing to the safety and security of residential facilities.
What you'll do#
- Perform administrative tasks similar to those of an office manager or administrative associate.
- Act as a primary point of contact and referral agent for the residential community.
- Maintain community safety by enforcing escort and visitation policies.
- Verify resident identity when required.
- Communicate concerns and issues to residence hall support staff.
What you'll need#
- Ability to recognize the value of the on-campus living experience.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups, including students, parents, and staff.
- Willingness to support the administrative functions of the department.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- Location: University House, Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Minimum 10 hours per week, available between 7 am and 1 am.
- Compensation: Paid position at $7.25 per hour.
