Student Worker - HSB Team Leader

About the role#

The HSB Team Leader provides essential customer service and operational support for the Technology Commons at Baylor University. This role focuses on maintaining lab facilities, assisting users, and ensuring that technology needs are met for students and faculty, including support for events held outside of standard business hours.

What you'll do#

• Provide customer service to students and authorized users of the Technology Commons.
• Maintain computer lab facilities by performing routine tasks such as restocking paper and changing toner cartridges.
• Ensure the overall neatness of labs, classrooms, and team rooms by cleaning equipment and furniture.
• Communicate and enforce Technology Commons policies.
• Open and securely close facilities according to the assigned schedule.
• Provide on-site technical support for events, including training users and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment.
• Report faulty equipment to supervisors to facilitate necessary repairs.

What you'll need#

• Commitment to regular and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to comply with all University policies.
• Experience with audio-visual technology or supporting live events is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
